Watchword for the Week
O come, let us worship and bow down,
let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker!
(Psalm 95:6) (Moravian Daily Texts 2017)
WELCOME and CALL to WORSHIP
Leader: Christ is like a single body
which has many parts.
All: It is still one body,
though every part is different.
Leader: Therefore the foot cannot say,
Men: I am not part of the body;
Leader: nor can the ear say,
Women: I am not part of the body.
Leader: The eye cannot say to the hand,
Men: I don’t need you;
Leader: nor can the head say to the feet,
Women: I don’t need you
Leader: If one part suffers,
All: all parts share the pain.
Leader: If one part is praised,
All: all parts share the joy.
Leader: Together, we are Christ’s body:
All: each one of us is a part of it.

PRAYER of ADORATION…
Response: Hallowed be your name.
Hallowed be your name.
Early in the morning
in the multicoloured company
of your Church on earth and in heaven,
we celebrate your creation,
your life, your death and resurrection,
your interest in us:
so to you we pray,
Lord, bring new life
where we are worn and tired;
where we have turned hard-hearted;
where we feel hurt
and where we have wounded;
and the joy and freedom
of your Holy Spirit
where we are the prisoners of ourselves.
WORDS of ASSURANCE
To all and to each where regret is real, God
pronounces pardon and grants us the right to
begin again. Thanks be to God. Amen.

you are worthy to be praised,
dependable, reliable God.

He’s the Alpha and Omega,
He’s a miracle working God.
Your love for us, O God, is overwhelming: in
the midst of our complaining, you pour out
abundant water for us. Now we respond,
giving you what we can for the work of your
people. Take our gifts, and take us, and use
us to share living water with others. Amen.
PRAYER for OTHERS

and let your Kingdom come.
The LORD’S PRAYER
Spoken version: Hymn 652, Second Form (b)
During the next song, those who wish to receive the
laying on of hands should come forward and kneel,
stand, or sit at the appropriate place. When hands
have been laid and prayer said, please make space
for others who want to follow.
PRAYER: Look, Lord, on your children,
who love your name and need your care. Let
your hands be known in the touch of friends.
Lord, say the word and we shall be healed.
Hymn 694 Brother, sister, let me serve you
If you wish to receive the prayer of blessing and
the laying-on of hands, come to sit, stand or kneel

pronouncing the prayer of blessing on others.
