ORGAN PRELUDE

WELCOME and OPENING RESPONSES

God calls us to go and find,

and so we seek God’s will.

Blessed is the one who comes

in the name of our God.

God provides what is needed

for our tasks and labours.

Blessed is the coming reign of God.

In the midst of our questions and uncertainty,

God is revealed to us.

Hosanna! Hosanna in the highest heaven!

Come, let us worship God.

Hymn 367 * Hosanna, loud hosanna

PRAYER of APPROACH

God of love and compassion, we celebrate

your joyful and disruptive entry into Jerusalem.

Hosanna in the highest!

In that same way we anticipate, with

expectant hearts, your presence in this place.

Hosanna in the highest!

We come, knowing your love has arrived

and is made manifest in Jesus the Christ.

Hosanna in the highest!

We come, prepared to be changed

by the grace we receive in your love.

Hosanna in the highest!

We come, with our whole being to prepare the

way for the coming of love incarnate.

Hosanna in the highest!

Hosanna in the highest!

Hosanna in the highest! Amen!

PRAYER of CONFESSION

Have mercy on us, O God,

who reigns in the highest heaven.

Ease our anxiety and guide our questioning.

Forgive our misunderstanding, our lack

of compassion, and any distrust of you.

Reorient our sight, so that we may look to you

and not the idols of this world.

Hold fast to us, God. Teach us and love us

that we may know your ways and do

likewise. It is in your name we pray. Amen.

DEDICATION PRAYER

(Source: PC Cameroon Book of Divine Services)

Holy God, you bestow generous blessings

upon us. We receive the gift of time to be

intentional with how our time is used. We

receive the gift of talent that our skills may

be used for creative and restorative

purposes. We receive the gift of income,

to share with those in need, to support

ministries in our community and in the

world, and to build your kingdom here on

earth. May all the gifts we bring be used for

your glory. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
