ORGAN PRELUDE
WELCOME and CALL to WORSHIP
We gather today in the presence of the God of
relationships, who invites us into community.
We gather today in the presence of the God of
love, who grants us ears to hear.
We gather today in the presence of the God of
justice, who grants us courage to act and
speak when we see a need.
Come, let us worship God.

PRAYER of APPROACH
Welcoming God, as another day breaks,
we come together into this space and we are all
welcome. From different places we come,
in the whole creation you come
and we know your Spirit is here.
May we travel together through this new day.
There are many resources in our world, yet
there is little equality with how they are shared.
Forgive us, we pray.
There are times when we move in
and take that which was not given to us.
Forgive us, we pray.
When we believe that our need is greater or we
are more deserving, forgive us, we pray.
When we choose to ignore the cries of the
oppressed, forgive us, we pray.
When it is easier to turn our backs than stand
with those working for justice,
forgive us, we pray.
Help us to be more like Jesus, who called the
little ones to come to him because that is part of
the realm of God. Help us be justice makers and
stand with and on behalf of all who are
oppressed, downtrodden, and ignored. Amen.

We are loved – even when we don’t take a
stand as we should. We are loved – when we
make mistakes or turn our backs. We are loved

DEDICATION PRAYER
God of justice,
as we bring you our offering today,
we bring more than our money.
As we move through our community
give us hearts to hear the cries of need.
As we see news-stories of the marginalized,
help us speak out against injustice.
In response to your grace,
may we offer all we can to all your creation.
Amen.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
PRAYERS for OTHERS
Work in us, Lord:
work in us for good.
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be
thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be
done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this
day our daily bread. And forgive us our
trespasses, as we forgive those who
trespass against us. And lead us not into
temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine
is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory,
for ever and ever. Amen.
