Watchword for the Week
But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead,
the first fruits of those who have died.

ORGAN PRELUDE
OPENING RESPONSES (from Psalm 118)
Alleluia! Christ is risen indeed!
Christ is risen indeed! Alleluia!
Give thanks to the LORD, because he is good,
and his love is eternal. Let the people of Israel
say, “His love is eternal.” Let the priests of
God say, “His love is eternal.” Let all who
worship him say, “His love is eternal.”
Open to me the gates of the Temple;
I will go in and give thanks to the Lord!
This is the gate of the Lord;
only the righteous can come in.
I praise you, Lord, because you heard me,
because you have given me the victory.
The stone which the builders
rejected as worthless turned out
to be the most important of all.
ECC Choir Christ is our cornerstone!
This was done by the Lord;
what a wonderful sight it is!
This is the day of the Lord’s victory;
let us be happy, let us celebrate!
Give thanks to the LORD, because he is good,
and his love is eternal. Let the people of Israel
say, “His love is eternal.” Let the priests of
God say, “His love is eternal.” Let all who
worship him say, “His love is eternal.”
Alleluia! Christ is risen indeed!
Christ is risen indeed! Alleluia!

EASTER PRAYER
Response (second section of the prayer):
Gracious God: forgive us.
Lord of life and power, through the mighty
resurrection of your Son, you have
overcome death and opened the gate of
everlasting life. Grant that we, being dead to
sin and alive to you in Jesus Christ, may
reign with him in glory, who with you and the
Holy Spirit is alive, one God, now and for
ever. Amen.

DEDICATION PRAYER
Each thing we have received came from you.
Each thing for which we hope will come from
you. Each thing we enjoy is of your giving.
Each thing for which we ask comes from
your disposing. Amen.
INSTITUTION and THANKSGIVING
The Lord be with you, and also with you.
Lift up your hearts. We lift them to the Lord.
Let us give thanks to the Lord, our God.
It is right to give our thanks and praise.
Living God, we acclaim you, majestic in
holiness, worthy of praise … with the whole
company of heaven we praise you in the angels’
hymn:
Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and
might, heaven and earth are full of your
glory. Hosanna in the highest.
Blessed is he who comes in the name
of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest.
Now we celebrate the feast of our redemption,
and proclaim the death of Jesus and announce
his resurrection and ascension until he comes in
glory … through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord,
who lives and reigns and is worshipped and
glorified with you and the Holy Spirit, one God
for ever. Amen.
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be
thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be
done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this
day our daily bread. And forgive us our
trespasses, as we forgive those who
trespass against us. And lead us not into
temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine
is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory,
for ever and ever. Amen.
BREAKING of BREAD
