Watchword for the Week
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom;
all those who practise it have a good understanding.

ORGAN PRELUDE
WELCOME and CALL to WORSHIP
(Verses from Psalm 111)
With all my heart I will thank the LORD
in the assembly of his people.
How wonderful are the things the LORD does!
All who are delighted with them
want to understand them.
All God does is full of honour and majesty;
his righteousness is eternal.
The LORD does not let us forget his
wonderful actions; he is kind and merciful.
In all he does he is faithful and just;
all his commands are dependable.
They last for all time; they were given
in truth and righteousness.
He set his people free and made
an eternal covenant with them.
Holy and mighty is he!
Our God is to be praise for ever!.

PRAYER of CONFESSION
Faithful God, Giver of all good things, we praise
and adore you for the eternal covenant you have
made with us, your people. Your Word is truth,
and in that truth we have assurance.
Yet, Lord, we must confess that, when we
ourselves have spoken, our words have not
always been spoken in love, but we have hurt
others by what we have said.
When we say we are doing what you want,
we are not always truthful, but often bend your
truth to please ourselves and meet our ends.
Chorus Señor, ten piedad (“Misa Cubana”)
Señor, ten piedad de nosotros.
Christo, ten piedad de nosotros.
Señor, ten piedad de nosotros.
Sí, ten piedad de nosotros.
O Lord, have mercy upon us.
Christ, have mercy upon us.
O Lord, have mercy upon us.
Yes, have mercy upon us.
Living God, in Christ you make all things
new. Transform the poverty of our nature by
the riches of your grace, and in the renewal
of our lives show forth your glory; through
Jesus Christ our Lord, who is alive and
reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God,
now and for ever. Amen.
ASSURANCE of FORGIVENESS
Lord, when you speak, we can trust your words
fully; when you talk, we cannot but listen; when
you challenge us, we hear your love; and we are
glad when you tell us: “Your sins are forgiven”.
Thanks be to God. Amen.

INSTITUTION and THANKSGIVING
The Lord be with you, and also with you.
Lift up your hearts. We lift them to the Lord.
Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
It is right to give our thanks and praise.
…we proclaim your greatness and sing your
praise in the angels’ song:
Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and
might, heaven and earth are full of your
glory. Hosanna in the highest.
Blessed is he who comes in the name
of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest.
… we offer and present to you our very selves,
to be a living sacrifice, dedicated and fit for your
acceptance; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Through him, with him, in him,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
all honour and glory are yours, almighty
Father, now and forever. Amen.
PRAYERS for OTHERS
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be
thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be
done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this
day our daily bread. And forgive us our
trespasses, as we forgive those who
trespass against us. And lead us not into
temptation, but deliver us from evil. For
thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the
glory, for ever and ever. Amen.
BREAKING of BREAD
Jesus, Lamb of God: have mercy on us.
Jesus, bearer of our sins: have mercy on us.
Jesus, redeemer of the world: grant us peace.
