ORGAN PRELUDE

WELCOME and CALL to WORSHIP

(based on Psalm 114 and Exodus 15)

We worship God who caused the sea to look and flee.

God is our strength; we will praise God!

We worship God in whose presence the mountains and hills skipped.

God is our strength; we will praise God!

Tremble, O Earth, at the presence of the Almighty, the One who turns rock into pools of water and flint into springs.

God is our strength; we will praise God!

Hymn 110 * Glory be to God the Father

PRAYER of CONFESSION

Merciful God, you made us in your image, with a mind to know you, a heart to love you, and a will to serve you. But our knowledge is imperfect, our love inconstant, our obedience incomplete. Day by day we fail to grow into your likeness; yet you are slow to be angry with your children.

For the sake of Jesus Christ, your Son, our Saviour, do not hold our sins against us, but in tender love, forgive us.

Hymn 493 * It’s me, it’s me, O Lord

ASSURANCE of PARDON

The almighty and merciful Lord grant you pardon and remission of all your sins, time for amendment of life, and the grace and comfort of the Holy Spirit.

Thanks be to God. Amen.

CHILD DEDICATION / BLESSING

Cyniora and Cyniory Ekokobe

Chorus * Count your blessings

Refrain: Count your blessings,

Name them one by one,

Count your blessings,

See what God hath done!

Count your blessings,

Name them one by one,

And it will surprise you

What the Lord hath done.

PRAYERS, BLESSING and DEDICATION

CONGREGATIONAL RESPONSE

The Church is the family of Christ, the community in which we grow in faith and commitment.

We rejoice in God’s blessing of Cyniora and Cyniory. We seek God’s grace to be a community in which the Gospel is truly proclaimed to all. We will support you and your children, and pray that through our love they may come to know God’s love.

CONCLUDING PRAYER

Chorus * My mouth shall sing

Refrain: Glory, Lord, I believe

You have laid down your life for me.

Jesus, every praise I receive,

Lord I give it all over to you.

Every song that I sing,

All my trophies I bring,

Lord, I give them all over to you.
